Brewer Bio’s


If I were a beer – “I’d want a hiker lost in the woods [to drink me]… coming across an abandoned campsite where someone had left behind a cooler with a beer remaining in it. I could be his last beer before he died of exposure later that night.”


Inspiration for new beers – “Drinking. There are so many fantastic beers out there and I like to figure out their recipe just by taste. After I believe I have figured it out, I tweak it in ways that would improve that beer. The best ideas for beer come when you are slightly intoxicated.”


Most unique ingredient used in beer – “Little Debbie strawberry shortcakes. And it wasn’t that bad.”


Favorite part of the brew process – “The mash. It smells awesome and it’s fun to pull.”


If I were a piece of brewery equipment – ” I’d be the kettle…On the outside we’re both smooth and shiny, but underneath that we are both vessels for a tumultuous and transformative process that if not properly monitored may result in the expulsion of a fountain of burning liquid.”
